Every piece of music I write either makes its way to my AudioJungle page, where it can be purchased by anybody, for any purpose, or it is locked away in the depths of a hard drive, waiting for the ideal project to come along.

Bristol based Media student Tom Walker, approached me with a brief for a project entitled ‘Disappearing City’, of which he required a short piece of music to accompany some dark, emotive images of urban Bristol. I knew in the depths of the archives I had a few tracks that would be suitable for this and I too, produced as part of my degree. Tom decided on a Piano Waltz that I composed for a short film 2 years ago, which I remixed with various ambient synths and a new piano part.

I was recently given the opportunity to write the title music for a documentary series that my good friend, Bristol based film maker Jonny Clooney (makinov) was producing.

This was a great chance for me to really go back to my roots and have fun cutting up beats, brass stabs and vinyl samples, and be as creative as I liked within the space of 20 seconds, resulting in an Entroducing style breakbeat that Jonny has cut the opening titles incredibly well to.

Since the beginning of the year, I have been writing various types of commercial music, intended for use in TV and film.

I recently finished the piano score for Bristol-based film maker Mark Phippen’s short film Moldova.

Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, located between Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east and south.

I really enjoyed composing this piece of music, it is so simple yet I feel it fits the mood and timing of the video well, be sure to check out the rest of Mark’s stuff and look out for future collaborations!
